FAQ

What to expect as we begin:

When you call to schedule your first session, I’ll conduct a brief phone intake to discuss your reasons for scheduling.    You will be asked to provide your insurance information so that your insurance benefits can be determined.    The initial session is focused on establishing a therapeutic alliance.    During the first session, I’ll ask further questions about your reasons for seeking therapy and your prior attempts at resolving your concerns.    Together, we will determine the goals of therapy and develop a timeline for attaining your goals.

Method of payment:

I am a preferred provider for all major insurance plans, including:

  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield
  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • United Health Care
  • United Behavioral Health
  • CMS (Children’s Medical Services)
  • Tricare/Value Options
  • Florida KidCare
  • Magellan

Your employer may also provide you with an EAP (Employee Assistance Program) that provides you with 3-6 EAP sessions at (typically) no copay fee to you. We can determine whether you have an EAP when your insurance benefits are confirmed.

If you don’t have insurance you may elect to be private pay.    Please discuss this with me when you telephone to schedule your initial session.

Payment is due at the time of service via cash or check. Credit/debit cards are not accepted.
